Gwen's Progress

Sorry I've been absent so long. I have been stitching. I love stitching on this project. I will need a finisher at the end because my talents are very limited in that department.
I hope everyone had a fun weekend. I worked today, it was not very busy.

Also a little progress during my holiday.

Just as planned I had a little stitching done on Sunday. I wonder how people can make close-ups with the photocamera. Maybe someone will share that with me?

It's almost Sunday again! :)

A little more done

Just thought I would send a pic of my latest bit of stitching that I did last Sunday. I am still enjoying this SAL and am looking forward to next Sunday to put some more stitches to it.

Hi one and all

I am totally ashamed to say that I haven't started stitching this yet. Now I do have a good reason. You see my serger (overlocker to my British friends) broke and as we speak it has been fixed but I am not getting it back for another two weeks. So as I stitch in hand, and am really anal about my fabric staying perfect with the edges, I don't think I will until I have serged the edges of the fabric and that's my excuse and I'm stitcking to it. If the fabric was Permin or Wichelt I would stitch on it without it being serged but it isn't, it is Zweigart. So I will have to wait 2 more weeks I think. Hope you will all forgive me especially as this was my big fat idea.

Lots of Love

My first progress picture!

I already started on Sunday April 4th. Please take any day you want to. It's so fun to stitch this one, so don't wait to long! :)

Here's my first picture:

The rabbits and the verse are stitched over one, so that took some time. The pictures doesn't show the stitches very good, though.
Can't hardly wait till next Sunday.

Patti, you did a great job with this blog. I couldn't do it better.

Ladies, let us know when you are going to start or when you've started and on which day! Maybe it's a idea to put a link on your blog, so a lot of people will see how beautiful it is and maybe they want to participate. How more souls, how more joy! (they said this in Holland).

Keep the needle going, ladies! And show your progress to us.

The New Start Date or not as the case may be

Hi Everyone

Sorry to do this to you but I have been up to my ears in everything so haven't started yet. If you guys started last Sunday that's fine but I can't start until next Sunday so if you want to start then or have already started it makes no difference. How would everyone suggest we do this. I know I have seen some where the charts have been carved up into bits and some where it's just Sunday is the day for stitching this and do what you can. What do you guys suggest - I am new to this SAL thing and really new to rotations - like this is the first one I'm trying. Ought, by rights, to be a good idea. Anyway I'm offa here now as I am going to stitch and finish stitching my bookmark so I can either put it together tomorrow or else I can start on something else like one of my other exchanges. Also I have to assemble the next giveaway for my blog's PIF. I have had it stitched for a while but not put assembled and that has to be done too. But I might wait until Saturday to do that - or then again maybe not. Hmmmm It's due on on the 1st of May and I really should get it up on my blog a week before so that is the 23rd of April which is next week so I have time for that. Sorry about my ruminating but at least I'm not talking to myself right now which is a really bad habit of mine. But then again I'm never ever rude to me.

Until you guys write and let me know what you want I'm going to stitch now.

Lots of Love

Which day?

Okay ladies which day of the week would you all like to work on this one? I don't know how many of you have rotations going but as I have signed up for so much I think it would be a good idea if we just stitched on this at our own paces one day a week, and I personally don't care which one. So please let me know what day you would like.

Also I should have welcomed all of you to this little SAL of ours. I am really excited about it and looking forward to starting it. We are now 5. There is:

Carin who's blog is The Cross Stitch Giant
Susan who's blog is Afford Your Passions
Moreen who's blog is Moments With Moreen
Gwen who's blog is Bahamian Hideaway
Patti who's blog is Tapestry of Dreams

I really hope we all have a lot of fun with this.

Lots of Love

Patti xxx

P.S. Carin as we decided to do this together you also have privileges that you can change things etc.

P.P.S. Cause I'm tired, and that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, instead of making the names of the blogs clickable I made the name of the people clickable and I'm too tired to fix it so night night or nite nite or whatever because I'm going to my bed.

Thanks for the Invitation

Hello all I have this project and have finished several pieces to it . I have to work on Sunday, but will try to get everything together and maybe start on Saturday. Looking forward to every one's progress.

Hello, Good Evening and Welcome ...

in the words of Sir David Frost.

Now the purpose of this blog is that all of us that are going to be starting our SAL on the 4th of April will have somewhere to put photos of our stitching of this great project so that other people can see it and wish they were doing it too and that we can keep up with each other and have to place to hang out.
